Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Engage patients and their families by clearly explaining evaluation findings and collaboratively setting personalized treatment goals.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols based on patients' needs and their response to therapy.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly, including initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Consult with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care plans and adjustments needed based on observed changes in conditions.
• Participate actively in ongoing education and training, both to enhance personal competencies and to support the professional growth of less experienced staff and students.
• Involve yourself in marketing initiatives that promote the services of our facility within the Chesapeake community.
• Contribute to departmental objectives by participating in team meetings and suggesting improvements or new approaches to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current certification in CPR as per the American Heart Association guidelines.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and support staff.

Compensation and Benefits
