We are an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against any job applicant because of race, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.SESI Corporate, LLC is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, TX.The Senior Accountant performs complex accounting functions with respect to periodic closing schedules to include fixed asset transactions and maintenance of fixed asset records, lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry preparation and generation of vendor payment and reconciliation of these files to bank files.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms complex accounting transactions in accordance with corporate financial standards and GAAP driving completion in an accurate and timely mannerManages fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, sale of assets within subsidiariesPerforms vendor payments proposals, monitors files return by bank. Researches any errors reported by bank and works with Business units and/or Master data to resolve errors.Performs monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reportingReviews, investigates, corrects errors and/or inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports findingsProvides/performs ad-hoc analysis and/or assignments at management's discretionThe above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified; nothing restricts the company's right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time or for any reason.EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field is requiredKnowledge & Experience4 plus years of experience directly related to the duties & responsibilities specifiedExperience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry is a plusDriven to provide a high level of accuracy while meeting on-time delivery requirements and supporting a strong internal control environmentHistory of enacting efficiencies and driving changeDemonstrable experience with fixed assets accounting, general accountingCPA candidate preferredSkills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge in GAAPAdvanced Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)Knowledge of ERP systems – preferably D365Ethical business practicesResults oriented with the ability to see how individual tasks affect the big pictureAccurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable proceduresAbility to detect problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid resolutionsEffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers & employeesInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Matching 401(k)Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
