Payroll Specialist

Position Responsibilities: Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations. Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly Canadian payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligations. Knowledge and an understanding of cross Canada, multi-provincial payroll legislation and taxation. Reconcile and remit 7 Unions Dues to the agencies. Prepare Canadian Record of Employment (ROE) to CRA. Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations. Assist on interpretation and data entry of garnishments. Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy. Coordinate with various company locations to obtain the information needed to process payroll. Oversee and manage salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and payroll accounting, including the processing of final checks for both voluntary and involuntary employee separations. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and 0 to 1 plus years of specific experience in payroll. Preferred Education and Experience: College Degree Experience with UKG or Kronos Timekeeping System.
