Bookkeeper - Greater Hartford, CT | Fully Onsite
ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-known and established nonprofit organization in the Greater Hartford area seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with prior nonprofit accounting experience to join their team. This position is fully onsite .

Bookkeeper Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger transactions
Prepare and post month-end journal entries and assist with the month-end close
Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
Maintain and update fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Support general accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and additional bookkeeping needs as required

Qualifications

Prior nonprofit accounting/bookkeeping experience is required
Previous hands-on experience with general accounting functions, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
Intermediate Excel skills , including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
Ability to work fully onsite in the Greater Hartford, CT area

Salary: Up to $66,000/year
