Role Description The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports. Daily responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The role also involves handling payroll entries and payroll tax filings, supporting month-end and year-end close, and collaborating with leadership on financial information needed for fractional CFO services. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hartford area, requiring consistent in-person collaboration with the team and clients. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Bookkeeping and Accounting skills, including managing the full general ledger and accounting cycle. Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. Candidates should possess experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), including adjustments, accruals, and reconciliations. Candidates should possess knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance processes. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) and Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
