Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant at Global Accounting & Reporting Services is responsible for various corporate accounting tasks and controls. This position plays an integral role in ensuring external and intercompany transactions are evaluated and accounted for properly and assists with the global consolidation process within Oracle R12 accounting system, including preparation of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX controls. The Senior Accountant works closely with financial staff at the OPCOs, Global Financial Technology and other corporate departments to facilitate a timely and efficient financial statement close process, assists with maintenance of system-generated reports and provides technical accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong professional presence, communication, and collaboration skills and be able to work effectively across multiple levels in the organization and take ownership of their work, driving tasks to completion and meeting deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience
• 2-3+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or large accounting firm preferred), or a mix of public accounting and large public-company experience.
• Strong month-end close experience, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement support.
• Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting in a corporate accounting environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to explain the "why" behind accounting entries, not just process transactions.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Experience with Oracle GL, Hyperion/Essbase, and Black Line.
• Experience with process improvements, system implementations, testing, or finance automation projects.
Experience working cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Financial Reporting, and other enterprise finance teams
