Senior Tax Accountant

Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Senior Tax Accountant based in Miami, FL . A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law . Position: Senior Tax Accountant Location: Miami, FL Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $85,000 to $100,000 Overview The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves tax planning, research, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve tax-related issues. The position offers an opportunity for career growth into management and requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities Prepare and file multi-state, federal, and state tax returns for C-Corporations and Partnerships, including extensions and estimated payments Prepare federal and state consolidated tax returns and interface with corporate operating companies Identify, research, and resolve tax issues to ensure compliance and minimize risk Perform corporate income tax functions, including compliance, planning, and accounting Calculate tax basis and assess implications of proposed transactions Handle voluntary disclosures and maintain communication with tax authorities Analyze tax accounts and ensure accurate reporting Continuously research and stay updated with current tax laws and regulations Required Experience/Skills Minimum 2 years of tax experience at a public accounting/CPA firm Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Experience/Skills Highly analytical with strong communication skills Experience with multi-state tax filings Familiarity with consolidated tax returns Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred Continuing education in tax law and compliance is a plus If eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
