Senior Trial Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active admission to the New York Bar .
• Must have at least 10 plus years of personal injury trial experience, preferably representing plaintiffs
• Must also be able to handle a reasonably sized caseload
• Must be able to handle and try a variety of personal injury/complex cases including auto, nursing home, medical malpractice, construction accidents, labor law and premises cases.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical abilities.
• Team-focused mentality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, in-office environment.

Senior Trial Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from inception through trial or resolution.
• Handle a diverse caseload including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, product liability, nursing home negligence, defective pharmaceuticals/medical devices, wrongful death, and other catastrophic injuries.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate documents as needed.
• Work directly with clients throughout all phases of litigation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff.
• Develop litigation strategies and advocate vigorously for clients.
