Staff Accountant Location: Milwaukee, WI 3- month contract assignment Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $28.98-30.00 per hour Make an Impact in Finance Seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support critical accounting operations within its Finance team. This contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple facilities, managing month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. What You’ll Do Complete month-end close activities for multiple operating facilities. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and follow up on outstanding items. Support month-end consolidated reporting through Vector. Assist with audits and respond to ad hoc accounting requests. Apply fundamental accounting principles in accordance with IFRS and GAAP. Handle confidential and sensitive financial information appropriately. Collaborate with team members while managing tasks independently. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2–5 years of related accounting experience. Understanding of accounting concepts, bookkeeping procedures, internal controls, and automated accounting systems. Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Suite skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, planning, and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities, work with interruptions, and meet deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively in a team environment.
