Job Description and Duties

This position is hybrid and eligible for teleworking in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy. The number of telework days will vary based on operational needs, and the incumbent will be required to report to the office as needed. This is subject to change based on operational need. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the direction of the General Jurisdiction (GJ) Division Chief Administrative Law Judge (DCALJ), the GJ Analyst II works independently and performs the full range of analytical work for the GJ Division at OAH. The Analyst II position requires an extensive understanding of the administrative adjudicatory process and legal procedures and practices for state, county and local departments and agencies. The duties require extensive knowledge of OAH’s operational processes, as well as the skills to analyze programs, develop legislative and agency specific reports, evaluate operational workflows develop process improvements, and lead process improvement teams.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
