Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and developing individualized treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies.

• Completing all necessary documentation promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across different programs.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools to gauge client progress and inform treatment strategies.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Actively participating in all licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the center’s high standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on a diverse range of clients, including those dealing with emotional disturbances, substance use recovery, developmental disabilities, and acquired brain injuries. You will work closely with individuals at various stages of their recovery and healing journeys, tailoring your approach to meet each client’s unique needs while fostering their independence and community participation.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a recognized mental health setting is essential.

• Candidates must be license eligible for the state of Florida.

• A valid driver’s license in good standing is required.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to quickly establish rapport and trust with clients.

• Strong empathetic listening skills coupled with the ability to provide directive guidance.

• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational capabilities to manage case files and documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working with populations struggling with substance use disorders, mental health crises, or developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with treatment planning methodologies and collaborative care approaches will be an asset to effectively perform your duties.
