Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, ensuring accurate documentation throughout the treatment process.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for diverse populations including individuals, couples, families, and groups based on thorough evaluations.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that cater to the unique needs of clients, employing various therapeutic techniques and methodologies.

• Monitor and document the progress of clients throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans as needed.

• Collaborate seamlessly with fellow mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to coordinate care and interventions that best support client needs.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who have been admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

• Identify and implement strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder recovery and provide supportive resources to family members and primary caregivers managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Primacare, you will engage with a diverse client population dealing with various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Your role will be critical in helping clients overcome their challenges and achieve improved mental health and emotional stability.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR to document patient interactions and treatment plans efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the best practices and ethical guidelines set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with clients having co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including substance use disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, along with additional perks such as a sign-on bonus.
