Multispecialty Profee Coding Specialist

Job Summary Remote Coding Specialist role at CorroHealth. Provides CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for 1–4 specialties, including Primary Care/Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Sports Medicine. Must have Professional Fee chart experience and live in the United States. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide coding services to support client needs. Calculate Professional Fee and E/M levels using company algorithms. Recognize critical care cases by patient acuity. Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the highest level of specificity. Accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS. Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment. Identify the importance of documentation on code assignment and reimbursement. Align conduct with AHIMA’s Standards of Ethical Coding and the company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, supporting the ethics and compliance program. Comply with all internal policies and procedures. Actively participate in company‑provided training and education. Maintain at least one credential through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, CCS, or CCS‑P). Ensure compliance with privacy and security rules, protecting confidential information including personal health information. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Certification: AAPC CPC or COC, or AHIMA CCS or CCS‑P (apprenticeships not accepted). At least 2 years of paid on‑the‑job experience coding professional fee charts. Reliable phone, internet connection, and current coding reference materials (CPT and ICD-10-CM). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines. Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Experience with EMR, billing, and related systems. Maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher. Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher. Possibility to perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Regular eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity. Work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours a day. Ability to sit for prolonged periods. Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 20 lbs.
