Senior Bookkeeper

Position Overview: A growing logistics and supply chain company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join its team in Carteret, NJ. This is a high-impact role working closely with leadership to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain financial accuracy. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and takes pride in keeping financial records structured, clean, and up to date. Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Process invoicing, vendor payments, and collections follow-up Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Track and maintain accurate financial records and documentation Monitor cash flow and support financial organization Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payments and discrepancies Support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all financial data Qualifications: 3+ years of extensive bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Dependable, proactive, positive and team-oriented mindset Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 DOE Health insurance benefits 401(k) plan Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to work closely with leadership Supportive, team-oriented work environment About the Employer: This organization is a logistics and supply chain solutions provider dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable services.
