As a social worker in this contract position, your expertise in school-based support services will help create a positive and inclusive school environment where every student has the tools to succeed.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, behavioral intervention strategies, and crisis management
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, faculty, and community providers
• Knowledge of special education processes and requirements, including IEP development and 504 plans
• Compassionate, resourceful, and culturally sensitive approach to student support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support at-risk students and promote positive behavior
• Facilitate family communication and connect families to community resources as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs for students with special needs
• Support school-wide initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
