Electro‑Mechanical Plant Systems Technician

Why this role matters

Plant reliability drives production. As an Electro‑Mechanical Plant Systems Technician, you’ll support operations under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Technician, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and consistently—while documenting your work and following established processes. What you’ll do

• Perform preventive maintenance on critical manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission components.
• Respond to breakdowns, execute changeovers, and complete benchwork (rebuilds, cleaning, operational checks).
• Read and apply technical manuals, specs, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Complete seasonal and facility equipment checks; step in during non‑standard hours when operations demand it.

How we work safely

• Comply with safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Operate material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, lift trucks, jib/gantry cranes) and man lifts with care.
• Use hand and power tools properly; keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Complete inspections, documentation, and in‑process quality checks.

Collaboration

• Provide timely status updates to the Maintenance Manager, Senior Maintenance Technician, production teams, and the Shift Manager.
• Coach junior mechanics and partner with production and maintenance teammates to align on daily priorities and projects.

Improve every day

• Apply LEAN fundamentals, including 5S and continuous improvement.
• Support sustainability efforts to cut energy use and minimize waste.
• Capture accurate after‑action reports and maintain clear procedures and maintenance records.
• Replenish parts, tools, and consumables proactively.

Facilities support

• Assist with facility upkeep: painting, drywall work, and basic plumbing repairs.

What you bring

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or related industrial mechanical experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and use a DMM.
• Competence with fractional/decimal math.
• Comfort working with digital work instructions and forms.
• Adaptable, flexible, and clear in verbal communication.
• Nice to have: exposure to metal fabrication technologies (lasers, press brakes, thermoforming) and robotics.

Physical & schedule requirements

• Stand and walk up to 90% of the shift.
• Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs .
• Work at ground level, elevated heights, and in confined spaces.
• Expect manufacturing noise, temperature fluctuation, and periodic outdoor exposure.
• Work any shift; regular overtime, including weekends, is expected.

Pay & benefits

BAC Hiring Compensation Range: Up to $36/hr
