Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor

Position: Assistant/Associate Professor and Director of the General Practice Residency Program Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Position Overview This full‑time faculty appointment includes both academic and administrative responsibilities as the Director of the six‑resident General Practice Residency (GPR) program. The program trains PGY‑1 residents in the GPR clinic within the School of Dental Medicine and the adjacent University Hospital Department of Dental Medicine. Responsibilities Faculty duties: teach undergraduate and graduate dental courses, supervise residents, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental meetings and committees. Residency program leadership: develop and implement the GPR curriculum, mentor residents, oversee clinical rotations, and coordinate faculty and clinical resources. Qualifications Holds a DDS/DMD from an accredited US or Canadian dental school. Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Eligible for a New Jersey state dental license. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in residency program administration, curriculum development, or clinical teaching. Physical Demands and Work Environment The role requires regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of lightweight objects in a clinical and office setting. Work is conducted in a university environment with access to clinical facilities and classrooms.
