Account Lead

Job Type Comission Based Salary $100k/year - 120k/year Location Cedarhurst, NY A growing financial services firm is seeking an experienced Account Lead to take ownership of client relationships and ensure the overall success of each engagement. This is a client facing role requiring strong accounting knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities. The Account Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while overseeing financial deliverables, accounting workflows, and internal team execution. This individual will conduct financial reviews, identify potential issues, provide meaningful insights, and ensure work is completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate takes ownership, builds trust with clients, and knows how to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for the final result. This role also includes overseeing work delegated to offshore team members and using technology and automation to improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact and build strong, trusted client relationships Manage client onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into ongoing services Communicate proactively with clients and anticipate needs before they arise Ensure financial deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet company standards Conduct financial reviews to validate data, identify risks, and provide useful insights Oversee Accounts Payable and other accounting workflows Identify and resolve financial or operational issues as they ariseManage multiple client accounts, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Delegate work to offshore team members and review completed work for accuracy Monitor team capacity and ensure client responsibilities are distributed efficiently Maintain organized and current client information within project management systems Use technology and automation to improve accuracy and workflow efficiency Collaborate with internal teams to provide consistent, high quality client service Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 3+ years of accounting or client facing financial services experience strongly preferred Experience managing client accounts and accounting workflows Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and financial review processes Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills Excellent attention to detail and follow through Ability to delegate, prioritize, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously Experience managing or working with offshore or remote teams is a strong plus Experience within an outsourced accounting or financial advisory firm is highly preferred Location: Five Towns, NY, Onsite Type: Full time Salary: $100,000 to $120,000/year #J-18808-Ljbffr
