We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our manufacturing facility in Pryor, OK. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will be primarily responsible for assisting in the day‑to‑day duties of the Accounts Payable department and cross‑training for coverage in additional departments, as required. The position requires good oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, ability to multi‑task and prioritize and ability to work with integrated manufacturing systems/ERPs. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain scanning and filing in an organized and efficient way across multiple companies Utilize computerized accounting software programs (ERP, Excel, Word and Outlook) to perform duties and responsibilities Input accounts payable invoices into ERP across multiple companies Verify approval on invoices and check requests using predefined approval processes 3‑way matching Process and enter invoices and check requests using predefined processes Create PO’s using predefined processes Prepare and process checks for multiple companies Update and maintain vendor database Assist printing invoices and payment requests from AP email Understand the nature of expense and properly categorize them within the company chart of accounts Answer company phones as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED equivalent Data entry experience and/or good typing and 10 key skills Good mathematical background Detail‑oriented Critical thinking/analytical skills Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Ability to work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 2‑5 years hands‑on Accounts Payable or Accounting experience Manufacturing experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
