Analyst Business Systems Support

Serves as a technical and functional expert for the district's Tyler Technologies ERP (EERP) environment. This role is responsible for security administration, workflow design and maintenance, application configuration, integration development, system updates, server administration, and reporting across all ERP modules. The analyst ensures stable, secure, and efficient system operations while supporting district departments through training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Education/Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience OR
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems with a minimum of five (5) years of experience

Experience

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in programming and application design in a school district or public-sector environment, or other relevant ERP vendor system with a High School Diploma or equivalent OR
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in programming and application design in a school district or public-sector environment, or other relevant ERP vendor system with a Bachelor's degree

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Proficiency in SQL Server, including T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database analysis
• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI dashboards, and data modeling
• Knowledge of Tyler ERP import/export tools, integration utilities, and configuration methods
• Understanding of API-based integrations and data-exchange standards
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration, scheduled tasks, and system monitoring
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity
• Knowledge of security best practices and audit requirements

Major Responsibilities and Duties

System Administration and Security 1. Manage and support end-to-end processes related to leave of absence administration, time tracking, human resources operations, and payroll/finance processing. 2. Perform all phases of software development, including analysis, design, writing code, testing, and implementation, and ensure that the developed software is designed to meet technical and user requirements. 3. Perform security administration, including user provisioning, role design, permission audits, and compliance monitoring. 4. Maintain system configuration settings, business rules, and module-specific parameters. 5. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Tyler support as needed.

Workflow Design and Maintenance 6. Design, configure, and maintain ERP workflows for Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement, and other functional areas. 7. Ensure workflows align with district policies, approval hierarchies, and audit requirements. 8. Test workflow changes and document updates, maintain documentation of all system changes, and implement new features, forms, fields, and business logic to support district operations.

Application Customization & Configuration 9. Work with stakeholders and users to determine programming needs, clarify requests, translate user and systems requirements into functional technical specifications, and provide technical assistance. 10. Act as a liaison between developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction. 11. Provide programming-related support for administrative applications and produce reports, interface with support, and test new releases. 12. Coordinate business systems-related issues with regional educational service center staff, including identification of and assistance with the resolution of program problems, design of systems enhancements, and implementation of system enhancements. 13. Customize Tyler ERP modules using approved tools and configuration methods.

Integration and Data Management 14. Maintain existing integrations between Tyler ERP and district systems. 15. Design, build, and deploy new integrations using Tyler tools, APIs, and import/export utilities. 16. Manage data imports, exports, and transformations using Tyler ERP utilities and SQL-based processes. 17. Support data validation, cleansing, and migration activities.

Updates, releases, and Server Administration 18. Coordinate and execute application updates, patches, and environment refreshes. 19. Perform server administration tasks, including monitoring, scheduled jobs, file management, and system health checks. 20. Ensure system uptime, backup integrity, and disaster-recovery readiness.

Reporting and End User Support 21. Provide end-user training on system functionality, workflows, and new features. 22. Perform all other duties as assigned.
