Supplier Pre-Screening Interview Questions

To provide and to assist with the coordination of daily operations for administrative functions of the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy departments. To support the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy and Clinical Supervisors.


The Secretary works closely with the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy and the Therapy Clinical Supervisors. Handles confidential information. Responsible for composition, typing, proofing, and appropriate disseminating of a variety of materials e.g. correspondence, memos, reports. Preparation of special meetings, agendas and minutes. Schedules meetings and appointments for the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy, and supervisors. Prepares statistical reports. Handles incoming and outgoing telephone calls. Establishes and maintains courteous cooperative service-oriented relationships with patients, the public and other members of the healthcare team. Demonstrates effective problem solving skills. Coordinates workload and supervises other secretaries as appropriate. Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Coordinates and integrates department services on intradepartmental, interdepartmental, and hospital wide levels. Plans for provision of services through provision of appropriate levels of qualified, competent staff. Policies and procedures are in place to support scope of practice.
Outpatient therapy services: Provides scheduling coordination for Rehabilitation Services. Completes patient intake, verifies insurance and authorization, and schedules appointments for the following programs/services: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy. Completes all necessary processes to ensure timely billing for services. Maintains patient data base and works closely with the USCUH Business office. Prepares patients records and maintains them. Prepares daily and monthly outpatient reports and routes them to the appropriate internal and external departments.

Medical Requirements:
Immunizations:
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of immunity or series of 2 shots
• Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of immunity or series of 2 shots
• Hepatitis B: Proof of immunity or series of 3 shots; worker can decline with a declination form on file
TB Test:
• Annual test required; results must be read within 24 to 48 hours
• Positive TB history requires chest x-ray results
Drug Screen:
• Must be taken within 72 hours or the offer is rescinded.
• 10-panel drug test including:
o Amphetamines
o Barbiturates
o Benzodiazepines
o Cocaine metabolite
o Opiates (Codeine, Morphine)
o Hydrocodone
o Hydromorphone
o Oxycodone
o Phencyclidine
o Methadone
o Propoxyphene
Influenza Vaccination:
• Required for the current flu season (11/1 through 5/30)
• Workers starting after May 1st should wait until after September 1st for the next flu shot season
• Accepts signed personal/medical exemption
COVID Vaccinations:
• Fully vaccinated with Covid-23-24 Vaccine
• Accepts signed religious/medical exemption
