Adjunct Faculty - History

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app. The History Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct faculty position for Fall 2026 in Early Republic/Nineteenth-Century U.S. History. This is a part‑time non‑benefitted position. Duties/Responsibilities (50%) Design and delivery course content for credit courses. (45%) Prepare course materials; assess student learning; assign grades; refer students to support services; provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students. (5%) Abide with USNH and KSC policies; participate in appropriate departments/unit meetings. Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience Ph.D. in history. Peer‑reviewed publication in early republic political history. Expertise in early republic and 19th‑century U.S. political history. Ability to teach a course in capitalism and slavery in the U.S., 1790‑1850. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching courses on American expansion in the antebellum period, capitalism and slavery, 1790‑1850, and history of Boston.
