Position Overview

Bright Minds Crisis Intervention Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This full-time role is designed for a mental health counselor who enjoys flexibility and the ability to work remotely while still making significant impacts. Although our clinic is primarily outpatient, you will engage with clients via virtual platforms, ensuring convenient access to support. Your schedule will typically follow a Monday to Friday timetable from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adjustments based on client needs. With a focus on collaborative care, you will work closely with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Bright Minds, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine effective treatment strategies.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances, emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience building.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at assisting patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering a supportive community.
• Collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and holistic care, ensuring that all aspects of the patient’s wellbeing are addressed.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor to guide patients through their crises.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, helping them understand their journeys and available resources.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Engaging in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic approaches and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of our team, you will primarily work with clients coping with the aftermath of traumatic experiences, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, accidents, and natural disasters. These individuals often require specialized attention to address their unique psychological needs, and you will play a key role in facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating proficiency in trauma-informed care practices.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a variety of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, accompanied by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress scenarios, responding effectively to client needs.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort with computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit, eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who possess additional experience in trauma-focused therapies, especially those who have utilized EMDR or TF-CBT within their practice, as well as those with experience in working with diverse populations facing varied challenges related to trauma.

Compensation and Benefits
