Job Title: Registered Nurse - Centralized Registry Float Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Indiana RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in a facility with 600 or more beds. Description: This position requires a strong background in general medical surgical nursing care. Candidates will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals with chronic illnesses such as COPD, diabetes, and end-stage renal disease. Nurses will manage a variety of conditions including GI issues, infections, and neurological disorders. Patients may undergo procedures such as colonoscopies, bronchoscopies, and minor surgeries. Key responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Proficiency in electronic health records, IV therapy management, and the use of medical equipment is essential. Patient ratios will be approximately 1:5-6. Nurses are expected to float to other medical units as necessary. The dress code consists of Caribbean blue scrubs. Candidates will be required to work 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. All nurses must participate in a structured orientation program that includes both hospital and nursing-specific training.
