Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their physical abilities and limitations to develop customized rehabilitation plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic exercises and modalities aimed at improving mobility, strength, and function.
• Work closely with 1-2 patients per hour, ensuring focused and individualized treatment sessions that cater to each patient's unique needs.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress using the WebPT electronic health record system, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management techniques, and the importance of adherence to rehabilitation protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with orthopedic patients, many of whom are recovering from surgeries or injuries related to sports, occupational tasks, or chronic conditions. You will play a crucial role in their rehabilitation journey, helping to improve their physical capabilities and restore their independence. Your empathetic approach and dedication will significantly impact their recovery experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• An active California Physical Therapy license or the ability to be licensed in California prior to employment.
• Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on patient care abilities, with a focus on individualizing treatment plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with the care team.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with software systems such as WebPT for documenting patient care and tracking outcomes.
• Experience in implementing innovative therapy techniques and exercises to engage patients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, reflective of your skills and experience, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package.
