About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and scalability of various engineering and technical functions, including manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, R&D, and project delivery. This high-impact role requires a leader who can translate long-term business objectives into executable plans, build scalable systems and teams, and drive complex engineering and infrastructure initiatives. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Engineering include developing and executing the company's long-term technical strategy, providing executive oversight for engineering and technical operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with safety, quality, and performance standards. The role also involves designing and scaling organizational structures, establishing enterprise-wide frameworks, and directing research and innovation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in relevant technical operations environments, with at least 7 years in an executive or senior leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required, with a preference for an advanced degree. The role demands a strong understanding of engineering and technical practices, the ability to manage significant budgets, and experience in leading through complexity and growth. The Vice President of Engineering will also be expected to have exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to represent the company in high-level interactions. Experience with regulatory agencies and a background in maritime operations or related industries is a plus.
