We believe in leader-full communities, shared governance, and community-rooted change. Our work is grounded in the belief that residents are not just participants - they are decision-makers, culture-shapers, and leaders. We are building leader-full communities and shifting the political landscape in our footprint through organizing, leadership development, and coordinated electoral engagement. The Role The VALUE Collective is seeking a Collaboration Coordinator to help strengthen and coordinate the complementary work happening across partner organizations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, relationship-oriented, and energized by helping people move shared work forward. Over the next year, a primary focus of this position will be supporting coordinated canvassing, voter engagement, and collective organizing efforts leading up to the 2026 midterm elections. The Coordinator will help keep collaborative projects moving by coordinating logistics, supporting communication across organizations, assisting with canvassing operations, and helping implement shared campaigns, events, and organizing efforts. The Coordinator will work closely with organizational leadership and the VALUE Collective Facilitator to ensure collaborative work is aligned, organized, and actionable. Responsibilities Coordination & Collective Alignment Work with leadership and staff across partner organizations to coordinate shared activities, trainings, campaigns, events, and timelines. Support communication and coordination across the collective through regular check-ins, updates, and follow-up. Attend and support monthly VALUE Collective meetings. Help identify opportunities for collaborative action and shared organizing efforts. Coordinate planning conversations, action steps, and collective debriefs. Canvassing & Organizing Support Coordinate day-to-day logistics for collective canvassing efforts and voter engagement activities. Support recruitment, scheduling, communication, and oversight of canvassers. Assist with training logistics, materials, reporting, and follow-up for canvassing efforts. Support outreach and coordination with residents, volunteers, and partner organizations. Help maintain engagement tracking systems, sign-in lists, follow-up pathways, and referrals. Project Management & Logistics Maintain shared workplans, calendars, timelines, and coordination systems. Help track responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-through across collaborative projects. Support logistics for meetings, training, canvasses, community events, and collective actions. Assist with systems that support collaboration, communication, and accountability. Qualifications We understand that candidates may not come with expertise in every area of this role. We encourage applicants who have strong organizational and relationship-building skills and experience in some combination of the following areas. Preferred Experience Community, grassroots, civic, or electoral organizing. Coordinating volunteers, canvassers, or community engagement efforts. Project coordination or project management. Planning events, training, meetings, or community engagement activities. Working with nonprofits, coalitions, campaigns, or community-based organizations. Familiarity with or connection to the Greater East St. Louis region, including Cahokia Heights, Washington Park, Fairmont, and Brooklyn. Skills & Qualities Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable coordinating logistics and managing multiple moving pieces. Self-directed, adaptable, and dependable. Commitment to community-rooted, people-centered work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Compensation This is a full-time contract position with compensation of $50,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience, plus a wellness stipend.
