Role Description This full-time Business Development Manager role is a hybrid position based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new commercial opportunities, build and maintain relationships with property managers, developers, municipal and institutional clients, and other key stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and bids, collaborating with design and operations teams to scope projects, and presenting landscape and snow removal solutions that align with client needs. The role also involves tracking market trends, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, and meeting revenue and growth targets while representing Yardmaster’s brand and service standards. The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to operations and support long-term client retention. Qualifications Strong business development, sales, and account management skills focused on B2B and property-focused services. Ability to build client relationships, conduct needs assessments, and deliver compelling presentations and proposals. Experience collaborating with operations and field teams to develop accurate scopes, estimates, and timelines. Knowledge of landscaping, grounds management, construction services, or related industries is highly beneficial. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment. Strong organizational, time management, and CRM or pipeline management skills. Comfort with using modern office and sales technology tools, including productivity and communication platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Landscape Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
