Payments Business Analyst (Swift, ISO 20022)
Jersey City, NJ / New Castle, DE Duration: Fulltime
Business Analysis Salary: 90K-105K/Year
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
1. Business & Functional Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payments initiatives
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories
- Conduct gap analysis between existing and proposed payment systems
- Create BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process flows, and functional specs
2. Payments Domain Expertise
- Work across key payments areas:
- Wire Payments (SWIFT, Fedwire, CHAPS)
- ACH / SEPA
- Real-Time Payments (RTP) / Faster Payments
- Cards & Merchant Payments
- Understand end-to-end payment lifecycle:
- Initiation → Validation → Clearing → Settlement → Reconciliation
Domain Skills
- Strong experience in Payments (mandatory)
- Knowledge of:
- ISO 20022
- SWIFT messaging (MT/MX)
- Payment hubs / core banking systems
