AD Energy Recruitment is partnering with a leading renewable energy platform to appoint a Vice President of Finance. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing organisation at the forefront of the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) sector.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of a business currently generating approximately $250 million in annual revenue and positioned for significant growth over the coming years.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision‑making at the highest level, working closely with executive leadership, investors, joint venture partners, and board members while helping drive the expansion of one of North America's most ambitious renewable energy platforms.

The Opportunity

As Vice President of Finance, you will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function while overseeing corporate forecasting, capital planning, investment analysis, and strategic financial modelling.

You will be responsible for transforming complex operational, market, and financial data into actionable business insights that support growth, capital allocation, and shareholder value creation.

This position is ideally suited to a finance leader who combines strong analytical capability with commercial acumen and has experience operating within fast-growing energy, infrastructure, private equity-backed, or investment banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing FP&A team.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes.
• Deliver executive‑level financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Partner with operational leadership to optimise asset performance, margins, and cost structures.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy and continuously improve financial reporting tools and processes.

Corporate Strategy & Financial Leadership

• Own and maintain the organisation's long‑term financial model.
• Develop forward‑looking scenarios incorporating commodity markets, environmental credits, regulatory developments, and growth initiatives.
• Support executive leadership in evaluating capital allocation strategies and growth opportunities.
• Establish financial KPIs and performance metrics aligned with corporate objectives.
• Drive business intelligence, reporting automation, and data‑driven decision‑making initiatives.

M&A, Capital Planning & Investment Analysis

• Support the evaluation of acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and divestitures.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, and investment assessments.
• Assist with debt, equity, and project financing activities.
• Develop ROI and IRR models for new infrastructure projects and technology investments.
• Assess project economics across renewable energy and environmental credit markets.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Collaborate closely with Accounting, Tax, Operations, Engineering, and Legal teams.
• Support board reporting, investor communications, and strategic presentations.
• Contribute to ERP, reporting, and financial systems improvements.
• Provide financial leadership across a diverse and growing portfolio of energy assets.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience with a strong leadership track record.
• Extensive experience within FP&A, corporate finance, capital planning, project finance, or M&A.
• Experience gained within renewable energy, energy infrastructure, utilities, infrastructure funds, private equity‑backed businesses, or investment banking environments.
• Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage executives, investors, lenders, and board members.
• Demonstrated success leading high‑performing teams within growth‑focused organisations.
