Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor for Child & Adolescent Care

Golden Lutos Mental and Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team specializing in child and adolescent mental health care. Located in Spokane, Washington, Golden Lutos Mental and Counseling Services is a premier outpatient facility dedicated to delivering specialized mental health care to children, adolescents, and their families. Work Environment

The position is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to our Spokane office. Our outpatient setting emphasizes collaboration and open communication among team members. You will be empowered to create therapeutic environments that foster growth, resilience, and wellness in our young patients, supported by advanced tools and technology. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evening shifts required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand the specific needs and challenges of children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to each patient’s developmental stage and family circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to effectively address anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to support their children's mental health journeys.
• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals to coordinate care, ensuring a unified approach to treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, offering immediate and compassionate support to those in need.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations to foster collaborative and interdisciplinary care.
• Commit to continuous learning by staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on serving children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood through late teens, who are experiencing various mental health challenges. These may include emotional difficulties like anxiety and depression, developmental issues such as ADHD, and a wide array of behavioral disorders. Our practice emphasizes a family-centered approach, recognizing that the involvement of parents and caregivers is crucial to successful treatment and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington state.
• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a relevant setting, preferably with children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, associated treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
• Proficient in delivering both individual and family therapy to youth, tailored to meet developmental and situational needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and establish trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficient in utilizing technology for documentation and communication.
• Possess a collaborative spirit and a commitment to working within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Demonstrated history of successfully implementing treatment plans and adjustments based on patient progress.
• Familiarity with local community resources and support networks for children and families impacted by mental health issues.
• Engagement in professional development activities, including workshops, presentations, or educational courses focused on child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 115,000 and 130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
