Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while still maintaining a structured work environment. As a mental health counselor, you will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings periodically to strategize client care and reflect on best practices in a collaborative context, ensuring that every client receives comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, including the formulation of clinical diagnoses and the development of tailored treatment plans that align with individual client needs.
• Administer individual, group, and family therapy, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that promote healing and alignment with clients’ treatment goals.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health issues, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Consistently maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment findings in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic and coordinated care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, advocating for their rights and individual needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and literature to remain up to date with the latest advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of clients from varying backgrounds, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and more. Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a minimum of two years of experience in a therapeutic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration with team members.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting, embodying the principles of teamwork and cooperation.
• Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of work.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level positions. Specialties in trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, or family therapy are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
