Central Valley Counseling Center is currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dedicated team. This full-time position offers a remote work setting through telehealth services, allowing professionals to reach and support clients effectively from the comfort of their own homes while impacting lives positively. As a key member of our mental health team, you will deliver high-quality counseling and therapeutic interventions to diverse client populations dealing with a variety of mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their unique mental health needs, including diagnostic assessments that guide treatment planning.
• Providing one-on-one counseling sessions focused on addressing individual struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client.
• Facilitating group therapy sessions, such as support or psychoeducational groups, to foster community connections and address common issues experienced by clients.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that set clear, achievable goals while actively monitoring client progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Assisting clients during crisis situations by providing immediate support, executing risk assessments, and coordinating interventions with emergency services when required.
• Engaging in continuous professional development through ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance your skills and keep up-to-date with advancements in the field.
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma responses, and substance use challenges. The telehealth model allows us to reach clients who may face barriers to accessing in-person care, including geographical limitations and mobility issues.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid license as a mental health counselor in the state of Washington is required for this position.
• Minimum of three years of supervised clinical experience in mental health counseling, providing you with the necessary skills to address complex client needs effectively.
• Proven ability to conduct detailed assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others in their mental health journey.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and grow within the role.

Preferred Experience

• Certification or specialized training in trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or family therapy could enhance your candidacy.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and technology in a counseling context.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
