Department: Accounting Reports To: General Accounting Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk I in our Dallas office. The Accounts Payable Clerk I supports the Firm’s accounting operations through processing invoices, employee reimbursements, payment requests, and related accounts payable activities. This entry-level role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, supporting vendor payment processes, and ensuring compliance with Firm accounting procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Process invoices, reimbursements, and payment requests accurately and timely. Assist with account reconciliation and validation of invoice data. Support general accounts payable processing and filing activities. Assist with overnight mail, AP reports, and administrative requests. Maintain organized financial records and documentation. Provide backup support to other accounting team members as needed. Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting or accounts payable experience required. Prior law firm or professional services experience preferred. Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of accounts payable processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Proficient in operation of a 10-key calculator. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. WORKING CONDITIONS This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.
