Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence, Oncology R&D

Senior Director role leading competitive intelligence and strategic analysis for AstraZeneca's oncology research division. Responsible for delivering clinical and commercial insights to senior leadership that shape portfolio decisions and investment strategy across the oncology pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery of competitive analysis and insights using oncology knowledge and external resources
- Drive in-depth analysis of clinical and commercial data to support strategic decisions
- Generate and communicate critical insights on key market and competitive issues to leadership
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape therapy area strategies and influence portfolio decisions
- Build trusted relationships across organization to drive strategic direction toward oncology innovation goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years in research, data analysis, or fact-based decision-making
- Deep knowledge of oncology therapy area with clinical or research background
- Critical thinking and ability to communicate complex issues clearly and simply
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
- Strategic analytical capabilities with agility in fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Preferred: PhD in Life Sciences, MD, or MBA
- Preferred: Consulting, venture capital, private equity, or pharmaceutical industry experience
Compensation: $218,330 - $327,494 base annual
