Accounting Specialist / JR Staff AccountantWe are looking for an organized and detail-focused Accounting Specialist / JR Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations in Austin, Texas. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across core accounting functions while helping improve reporting, controls, and day-to-day processes.Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.Perform daily cash activity tasks, including monitoring account activity, preparing deposits, and recording banking transactions.Calculate and process commission payments, invoices, and outgoing disbursements with a strong focus on accuracy.Reconcile bank accounts, review ledger activity, and assist with audits to support reliable financial records.Provide support for payroll administration and help prepare year-end documentation, including 1099 reporting.Maintain organized financial files by entering data, updating spreadsheets, and managing scanned and physical documents.Respond to accounting-related inquiries through the help desk system and communicate financial information clearly to internal stakeholders.Assist with month-end and management reporting, special projects, and initiatives that strengthen accounting procedures and workflow efficiency.
