Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a thorough understanding of their conditions.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, life goals, and personal preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective sessions that lead to positive outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their conditions and responses to therapy.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic strategies and effectiveness.

• Maintain precise and confidential records, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines, while ensuring the protection of client information.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be to support individuals affected by mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. The therapist will engage with varied populations, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your contributions will have a nationally significant impact, assisting clients in overcoming their challenges and achieving emotional stability.

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
