Work Environment

In this full-time onsite role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic hospital setting. The schedule typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m. You may also be involved in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends, making an approximate total workweek of 40 hours. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for individuals and families, ensuring each patient's unique needs are met.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, implementing preventive care and health promotion strategies tailored to diverse populations.
• Collaborate with community organizations such as schools, non-profits, and health agencies to develop and implement health education initiatives aimed at improving public health.
• Deliver culturally sensitive care and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring equitable access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up care to maintain continuity, completeness, and quality of care for patients.
• Maintain precise and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with regulatory standards and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Engage with the community through health fairs and outreach events, providing vital health screenings and education to raise awareness about health issues.
• Stay informed about emerging community health trends, evidence-based practices in nursing, and relevant healthcare policies that impact patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals and families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Las Vegas. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will address a wide range of health concerns, from preventive care to complex chronic condition management. Your work will particularly emphasize serving vulnerable and underserved populations, ensuring that all community members have access to quality healthcare.

Qualifications

• A current certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized accrediting body.
• An active and valid state nursing license in Nevada.
• A Master’s degree in nursing obtained from an accredited program with a strong clinical focus.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within community health or public health environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse patient population and healthcare team.
• A commitment to the principles of social justice, health equity, and advocacy for marginalized communities.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in community health settings or previous work in public health initiatives will be favored. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to USD 130,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
