Accounts Payable AssociateSalary: $41,500 - $43,500 per yearLocation: Plymouth, MIWe are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable Associate with a minimum of 6 months experience who wants to join their corporate accounting department.The Central Administration department plays a vital role in the company's financial stability. The Accounts Payable Associate is accountable for supplier and brokerage payments. This role will provide quality customer service to exemplify care and commitment to our suppliers, carrier partner base and customers.Job DutiesCheck and approve all vouchers for payment/verify supplier statementsResponsible for routing invoices, including the match, batch and codingReview and issue supplier and brokerage paymentsServe as first point of contact for payment inquiriesMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.Skills RequiredStrong customer service orientationAbility to solve problems and think quickly under pressureEffective oral and written communication skillsHighly organized and detail oriented; ability to follow processesDemonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacyAbility to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlinesProficiency in web-based accounting programsProficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookQualificationsKnowledge of: Accounts Payable and invoice processing preferredAbility to learn various web-based software programs (MAS, OVISS, DMS)Minimum six months of experience in office environment preferredTransportation experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredLocation: Plymouth, MI (this is not a hybrid role)Our client is proud to offer their full-time employees best-in-class benefits designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security.
