A 12-week internship supporting laboratory and facility operations across research and development organizations at Merck's West Point site. The role involves exposure to equipment lifecycle management, compliance programs, capital projects, process improvement, and operational analytics.
Responsibilities
- Support laboratory operations and facility management activities across research buildings
- Assist with equipment lifecycle management including onboarding, inventory reviews, and decommissioning
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and analytics to support operational decision-making
- Participate in operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare presentations, reports, and executive summaries for operational reviews
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Data Analytics, Business, or Operations Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in collaborative team settings
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Interest in laboratory operations, compliance, facilities, or project management preferred
Compensation: $39,108–$111,111
