Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring an accurate diagnosis.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote skill development and emotional regulation.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, provide support in treatment options, and impart self-care strategies to enhance well-being.
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving mental health needs.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and medical professionals for comprehensive care, addressing both psychological and medical concerns.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders to integrate best practices into your therapeutic approach.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and addressing stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique cultural and personal needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ struggles.
• Effective organizational and time-management abilities to handle administrative responsibilities while delivering quality care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community health setting or working with diverse populations is a plus.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is beneficial.
• Experience in utilizing digital health tools and teletherapy platforms is preferred, as this position is primarily remote.
