Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director 1 to oversee one of our housing and supportive service programs. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring program integrity, operational efficiency, staff performance, and compliance with agency and funder expectations. As Program Director 1 , you will provide strategic oversight, coach your team, and manage the delivery of high-quality services that support the stability and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families. What You’ll Do: Lead day-to-day program operations and provide direct supervision to all program staff Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and contractual obligations Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement strategies Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize fiscal health Oversee training, staff development, performance evaluations, and team support Conduct regular staff and client meetings to maintain communication and cohesion Monitor program quality through ongoing evaluation and reporting Build positive relationships with funders, partners, and community organizations Participate in external coalitions, committees, and collaborative planning groups Support agency-wide outcome tracking, data collection, and research initiatives Perform regular off-hour program visits and manage crisis or operational issues as needed What You Need: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field At least -5-7years of relevant management experience in housing, social services, or community-based programs Strong leadership, judgment, and team-building skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Flexibility to manage both routine operations and unexpected challenges Why This Role Matters: As Program Director 1 , you will set the tone, shape the culture, and lead the charge in delivering life-changing services to those in need.
