Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify client needs and develop initial treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s specific goals.

• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Engage clients’ family members in treatment processes to enhance understanding and support systems, particularly in managing behavioral challenges.

• Manage referrals to additional support services and follow up on treatment continuity for hospitalized clients, ensuring a seamless transition back to community care.

• Stay up to date with the latest developments in mental health treatments and best practices within the industry.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts to clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document client interactions efficiently.

• Knowledge of the effects of prescribed medications and experience dealing with clients who have co-occurring disorders, including addiction issues.

• Familiarity with best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
