Immigration Paralegal OpportunityA dynamic, boutique immigration law firm in Newark, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal with strong VAWA experience for a long-term temporary assignment. This hybrid role requires candidates to work onsite every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The office is conveniently accessible by public transportation. Candidates must be reliable and able to consistently be present in the office on required days. The hourly pay rate for this position is $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience.Primary DutiesThis is a high-volume practice with a significant focus on VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) cases, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills. The Immigration Paralegal will work closely with clients, often in sensitive situations; prepare detailed legal documents, and support case management from intake through filing. The role demands discretion, compassion, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
