This role provides a high level of customer service for inquiries about account histories, proactively monitors payment activity, ensuring the highest possible collection rates for the organization. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Accounts Receivable Activity (60%) Download and record incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) accurately and disburse details to appropriate team members Apply payments to customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner using our customer relationship management database (Andar) Work closely with the Fundraising Teams and Companies to ensure proper details are supplied for each payment Maintain documentation for audit support Recommend and implement improvements to AR processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy Collections and Customer Service (40%) Generate and issue accurate pledge reminders monthly in a timely manner Monitor collections on individual and company accounts. Using tactful collection methods appropriate for charitable contributions to ensure we attain the highest collection rates possible Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers as it relates to payments and payment processingMonitor outstanding balances and elevate delinquent accounts to management Year‑end review and execute write‑offs in an appropriate fashion COMPETENCIES THAT SUPPORT YOUR WORK Thought Donor and Stakeholder Focus: Building strong relationships and delivering customer‑centric solutions. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Associate’s Degree and 1–2 years of experience or 3–5 plus years of related experience required. Knowledge of accounting and reconciling principles. Accurate data entry and basic typing skills; strong 10‑key capabilities; proficient computer skills and experience with Micro Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and experience with performing mail‑merge functions. Keen attention to detail and proven ability to problem‑solve. Excellent organizational and follow‑up skills with a strong attention to detail; good problem solving and analytical skills; an ability to work independently and as a team member.
