We are seeking an experienced Shipping Lead to coordinate daily shipping operations in an industrial warehouse environment. This position is responsible for organizing shipping priorities, coordinating freight pickups, verifying outgoing materials and documentation, and helping ensure orders are shipped accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate has previous shipping and receiving experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support warehouse personnel while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and prioritize orders for shipment.
• Review daily shipping reports to identify orders ready for processing and dispatch.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, freight carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments to ensure timely shipments.
• Schedule and track freight pickups and communicate shipment updates as needed.
• Route outgoing shipments using available computer systems and shipping software.
• Verify material descriptions, quantities, and order information against shipping documents.
• Match outgoing materials to the correct packing lists, loading forms, and delivery paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of outgoing freight and completed shipments.
• Communicate shipping delays, order changes, material discrepancies, and other issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with loading coordination and ensure the correct materials are assigned to the correct trucks.
• Operate a forklift and other assigned equipment as needed.
• Follow established safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain an organized shipping area and identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Assist with training and guiding shipping personnel to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Perform additional warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.
