Musical Theatre and Contemporary, Tap, and Musical Theatre Style Dance teachers to join our team this fall The Secret Academy Long Island City, NY US DESCRIPTION We’re looking for teaching artists with experience in Auditioning and performing in their teaching discipline. Working with children ages 6-17. Working with students of all skill levels and adapting lessons to accommodate different learning needs. Creating and following lesson plans Keeping students engaged and focused through an hour-long class. Writing, directing, and choreographing short children’s theatre performances. Communicating clearly and effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators Meeting clear deadlines and responding to messages promptly. Creating an inclusive, supportive, collaborative environment that encourages our students to grow in a safe space. Teaching Commitment We’re looking for teachers who can commit to Teaching a one hour class, once a week in Long Island City. There could be more hours once interviewed. Teaching for the entire Fall/Winter Semester (September 12th - January 30th), excluding holidays and breaks. Location All classes are taught in person at our Long Island City location at 10-10 44th Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 Compensation $50/hr. for classes with up to 5 students. $60/hr. for classes with 6 or more students.
