Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, providing home care services to patients in various locations throughout Fort Lauderdale. You will engage directly with patients in their homes, where you will assess their unique situations and tailor therapy accordingly. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, each day in our practice is dynamic and fulfilling, as we adapt our approaches to meet distinct patient needs and achieve the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their rehabilitation needs, setting realistic goals together to track progress effectively.
• Manage a manageable caseload of one patient per hour, offering individualized treatment plans based on their specific goals and challenges.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, applying your expertise in manual therapy and exercise protocols to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that may involve a range of therapeutic techniques, and create tailored fitness programs that encourage healthy lifestyles.
• Actively engage and motivate patients during their treatment sessions, addressing their emotional and physical needs while inspiring progress.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of patient care, utilizing EMR software such as WebPT to ensure accurate tracking of interventions and outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain issues. By providing compassionate care and personalized treatment plans, you will empower these individuals to overcome their challenges and regain their independence, ultimately leading to enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An exemplary professional history, free from any disciplinary actions or board sanctions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, with a strong foundation in exercise development and implementation.
• Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient records effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, giving you the practical exposure to common conditions and treatment protocols.
• A track record of developing personalized therapeutic interventions that have led to positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
