The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of School Nurse within the Office of Early Childhood. Qualifications and requirements include an appropriate New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate or eligibility for an Emergency license as deemed necessary by the New Jersey Department of Education, a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, and a current New Jersey registered professional nurse license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. Preferred experience includes a minimum of five years successful experience as a registered nurse. Bilingual and the ability to read, write, and speak English is required. Spanish, Portuguese, or French Creole is a plus.

Basic functions and responsibilities include developing comprehensive health records for new students, performing routine screenings, interpreting physical examination findings, providing emergency medical care, counseling parents and staff, conducting tuberculin screening programs, reviewing medical records annually, participating in health education programs, assisting in planning a safe and healthful school environment, dispensing medication, administering prescribed treatments, and performing other duties as assigned.

Salary: $67,000-$111,625 for 2025-2026 SY (plus $3,000 stipend)
