Position Overview

We are a growing small manufacturing company seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in manufacturing accounting , including inventory, cost of goods sold, and production-related financial tracking. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working independently in a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP
Process and reconcile inventory transactions , including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Track and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and manufacturing variances
Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
Manage payroll processing, payroll taxes, and related filings
Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and other state/local reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Work with external CPAs on year-end close, tax preparation, and audits
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
Support management with financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis
Ensure accurate job costing and production cost tracking

Required Qualifications

5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience , preferably in a small business setting
Manufacturing industry experience required
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, and job costing
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar )
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations)
Solid knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, and multi-state compliance (if applicable)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Pay Range

$25 to $30 based on experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting systems
Prior experience supporting audits or financial reviews
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or cost accounting principles
